In today's class we presented to the class, everyone preferred Dream Lover and Emeli Sande to Pink, they said that Dream Lover was a good song but Emeli Sande's 'Where I Sleep' is more of a visual piece, the only concern is as it is a slower song we don't want the audience to get bored of the video and so the cuts can be slow but sleep and contain visually stimulating. As well of the voice, I need to be able to find someone who looks like they can sing the song because so many video downfall is that the voice doesn't suit the face of the singer. The group also liked the idea of dissolving the 60s to present.10/09/2014
Today in class I printed and read the lyrics and thought that the 60s idea maybe a bit hard for one person to achieve without it looking unprofessional. I also decided to keep the singer and performance separate (so the singer is not in the music video) I have also started to plan the video taking inspiration from other music videos, and starting to form an idea of the costumes that I would use.

In this lesson I changed the era transition into a relationship development. I also decided that the main singer will have 2-3 costume changes, to show different sides to her. I also started noting what videos inspired me and why.

This lesson I continued to research inspirational videos, I noted that each video had aspects of the 'look' I wanted to achieve, I also took inspiration from Emeil Sande song, although I am trying to stay away from coping her ideas to create a new artist her videos are also similar to what I want to achieve, in the next few lessons I plan to record the lip syncing tasks, I have to decided to use my friend as my artist but want to ensure that she can lip synch with the words, I also plan to start designing the artists website and finishing the inspirational videos.

This week I have been filming the lip syncing task with the 'star' of the video, I filmed it a couple of times to allow her to practice singing in time with the artist and the beat as any missed mouth movement will be very visible in the video. I also started to compile the shots together, the thing I am finding the most difficult is filling the shots in between the singing shots, having so many different ideas and having to make an informed decision whether to keep them or not is hard when all the ideas are your own and you can see them working. I am also trying to find an obvious story for the music video(narrative) that isn't too cheesy as well as enforcing the lyrics.

Today in class in I researched different shoot ideas that I can take inspiration from to use on the star's website, I also have finalized the Facebook and Twitter account and will be using Jaya's Instagram pictures to use on the sites (with her permission) I have also taken inspiration from other star's twitter accounts as what to post as I will be posting on Twitter regularly to make it look like a real star account. Jaya getting her sing on.

I have been researching images that I can use for inspiration when taking other pictures for the website, I also plan to start setting the website up tomorrow, I have also decided to call the album 'Runaway' and we have been coming up with 'songs' to put on the digipack and 'merchandise' ideas. Working alone this is a very long and drawn out process and I hope that the website is done by next Monday.

I have decided to film in two to three locations to give the music video a variety of looks, in each of these locations i will record the song in full and use them as a base, by having two or three locations all of which the whole song is sung it allows me a support cushion so if I can not figure out what to put in a small gap then I can use the three layers of music as back up. I plan to film in these three locations within the next two weeks depending on Jaya's availability and the weather. Once these three locations are filmed I am then able to start 'filling' the music video.

Today I looked at different artists websites and took inspiration from them, I am going to try and incorporate different aspects of these sites into Jaya's. However I want the background of Jaya's site to be her album cover but unfortunately I still haven't taken the image for her album so can not start her website yet, I plan to take these in the next few days, depending on when Jaya is free and the whether is half decent (the image is one outside)

Today I have been designing Jaya's album cover, I plan to have her image on the front cover (face shot/close up) with the name of the album at the bottom, I have also sketched(badly) how I want the text on her album to be, I need to now use a computer to see if the design can be transferred and can be easily visible. I still have yet to take the final images for Jaya's website but I plan to do that some time next week, again depending on Jaya's schedule.

Because the song is only 2 minutes and 15 seconds long I will be adding an 'introduction' to the song with different location shots to prolong the song, I have therefore been coming up with ideas to fill that intro. So far I have come up with shots of Jaya with her back to the camera in the different locations or romantic shots of the couple. I am also writing up a script of some kind of interview, I also plan to get Jaya do some kind of 'vlog' when she is on set explaining what is going on an the meaning behind the song. Both of these will be uploaded and put onto the social media sites,which are being updated constantly. At the moment I am having trouble filling in the story board because I am unsure on how to 'fill' the couple shots, I am playing up with the idea of using Jaya and someone else as the couple instead of two separate people because it would make more sense time wise and I wont need too many people on set.

I plan to film and take website images on Friday with Jaya so I can finally start to construct the website over the weekend, I also plan to design the album cover, as stated previously I have designed the album but I still need to transfer that design onto the computer. I have also come up with a mock up of an MTV interview that I will upload onto the blog, we will be filming this tomorrow during our free periods. I also plan to get Jaya to do an informal interview/vlog where her 'fans' tweet her and ask her questions, this will also hopefully be filmed tomorrow if we have time. Interviewing Jaya08/10/2014
This lesson we presented our Star Profiles to the class and gave each other feedback on a small pieces of paper each section was given a mark of 10,there where five sections. The sections included 'overall music video idea' 'unique selling point' and 'overall stage presents'. When I was presented I brought Jaya up with me in case any of the audience wanted to asks her to questions.

Today I am shooting with Jaya for website images and the album cover, we plan to use to the school as a back drop and because its sunny outside we plan to take some images outside, once we have taken the images I plan to edit them and create the website, I have also finished the storyboard and just need to upload it and put a voice over.10/10/2014
Yesterday's shoot went really well, we managed to get great shots and with some editing they should be album worthy.I planned to film today but Jaya is unwell and therefore I have postponed the shoot until next week,although a minor set back, it means that we need to ensure that most of the footage is usable first time. I still have to create a website,an online interview(the one we filmed was out of focus) a magazine interview and an interview where her fans ask her questions, now I have the images I can make the website and magazine interview, this hopefully will be done by Tuesday next week, Hopefully this will all be done before we shoot next week.

Today I planning to upload my storyboard and voice over, me and Jaya have also decided to film Wednesday and Friday after school, so hopefully it will be done in the coming weeks, the website also needs to be finished as I have had problems with the site for the last couple of days with things not saving on the site so that should hopefully be done by Friday. I have also uploaded sketches of the album cover and website to my blog.

Today I have been updating my blog posts and going over tomorrows filming schedule, I hope to get most recording done tomorrow so I have Thursday to go over footage and if need be to re-record any shots on Friday. Today I taught Jaya how to walk for the opening sequence and performance shot for the video. I have also been editing the story board because Jaya doesn't want to get another cold so does not want to preform outside in a field, so we have compromised and Jaya will preform outside in jeans with a BoHo twist rather than the original Boho look.

Today we are filming so I have spent most of the day preparing for it, I have also continued to make the site, it is taking longer than expected so I am hoping it to be finished by Friday. With Today's shoot we have already encountered a problem because Jaya forgot one of her outfits so we will be filming again next week, its very important that I get all the shots otherwise when I edit each shot will lag, I also continue to make the merchandise for the website. With the filming I get today I will make a teaser video for the fans.

Yesterday's was shooting was a real success we got 2/5 outfits done, the lighting was great in the drama studio, we wanted to get silhouettes of Jaya, so it took a while to set up the different aspects of filming, in total we filmed for about four hours, using different camera angles different positions.the majority of the footage is clear some is quite grainy but that can be changed with the brightness and contrast effects, I plan to make the teaser trailer tomorrow as well as more filming.

We were supposed to film today but Jaya has made other plans so we will resume filming tomorrow, so today I plan to create the teaser trailer, update my blog and hopefully finish the website by today, it is very frustrating to make made plans to film only to have them cancelled but having a back up plan allows me to continue my work. I have complied all the footage so far in one premier folder in layers, I also reduced the grain in the footage using brightness and contrast, the teaser trailer is done, I just need to add Jaya's album at the end, after which I can upload to YouTube, the website is also nearly done. I plan to create the merch using Photoshop on Monday.

Today we are filming in the recording studio and outside, I am really hoping to get most if not all of the footuring the lesson I hope to get the teaser trailer finished and write another article. age for the video. I still need to get introduction shots to make the video slightly longer, which hopefully I will do today. We are also filming another interview because the others were poor.

Today I plan to make the merch for Jaya's site, if I have time I may also make an advertising poster.As I have most of the layers for the music video, I can now start to cut and edit the video along with the music, one thing about edit that is very difficult for me is making sure that the lip snych is erfect, otherwise the whole music video will be out of synch.

Today I have been completing the stealomatic,which is now on the blog. I have also continued to edit the video and the teaser trailer is almost done, so that should also be uploaded today. Uploading is taking longer than expected, for a 2 minute video it has taken nearly two hours. Tomorrow, providing Jaya is in, I will record a small clip of her introducing the behind the scene footage.

For the last couple of days I have been editing the video and trying to get the video to tie together, Today we are filming and so can hopefully get the instrumental bits down so I have something to fill the gaps with, after that I be will editing continuously, unless it is decided I need to re film.

Today I have been making improvements on my website, I added information on the side, re-organised the pictures and looked at spelling, there is still alot of things to be done but I am happy with the progress so far, another thing I plan to do today is to give feedback on other peoples website, although some of them, like mine,are not completed I can give feedback on what I see which will hopeful help them to improve the site. I plan to spend the rest of my evening creating more blog posts on my progression with the digi pack to make sure that I am up to date with all work set.

Today I have been editing and updating my blog, I have received feedback on Jaya's site most of it was really helpful and now I can improve the website, I have also been editing, I'm finding it really hard to edit at the minute because I feel like the video is fake and it isn't upbeat enough, although its a slow song I feel like it should be more enthusiastic.

Editing continued last night and I managed to get the first draft done with is now on YouTube (First Draft). When I uploaded the video I noticed that the lip sync is slightly out so I am going to work on that during my text draft, I also managed to finish the first draft of my digipack which I am pleased with. During the lesson I took a few more photos of Jaya to add to her gallery on the website, we also filmed an introduction to her behind the scenes. All in all I am feeling pretty confident so far, the deadline is fast approaching but I feel that I am going to be able to meet it and have everything done as long as I keep up to date on my blog post, which I plan to focus on over the next few lessons.

Over the last couple of lessons I have been editing my second draft which is now ready to be uploaded, in this draft I have added more cuts to make it more engaging. In class we have also given each other feedback on digipaks and websites, I found this really helpful because it allows me to improve upon by work, some of the feedback was overly negative, which although I took on board it annoyed my slightly because I was told what to improve on, only that I needed to. My website is near completion which I am really happy about, I need to make a few final adjustments to each page, most of which just need image changes or more information. My digiPak needs a lot of work, most of the comments from the digipak were about the images, they look crammed together which I agree with but I want to get more than three images in so I am going to see what images I can use to create the look of a photo album without it looking too crowded. I plan to have the digipak done by next Monday. I still need to create some more magazine interviews which will hopefully be done by next Wednesday.

Today I received feedback from my peers about my first draft, I found it really helpful and it allows me edit and improve upon my video. My digipak is also nearly done, I need to add a CD into it and then it can be uploaded to my blog, the magazines are also coming along nicely I am however finding it difficult to make the text look like it is from the Kerrang! article. Tour Posters also need to be made and uploaded on my blog and website. The deadline is this Friday and hopefully I can make it, I do plan to work a lot after school this week to reach the deadline.

Today we watched Year 12 film openings and gave them feedback to help improve their work, they didn't seem to like the feedback I gave them. To do with my blog I rearranged some posts to make them in time order. I have also contacted some dancers in the school asking if they would participate in the video, Zin said that she was happy to help so filming will hopefully commence sometime next week. I have also written a timeline of the song along with time certain words are sung, this will help me when editing so I know when I should cut the video to make them faster and more interesting I also added notes to the side on what should go where and where I can add clips of the dance. Today I am filming the dance sequence after school which will hopefully add another element to my video, I have also been discussing with Jaya about filming next Tuesday, I feel that my video is missing something so by filming some extra shots I will be able to put in better footage which will make the video look more professional. Although the deadline is today I am able to film a bit more because I am working alone. y first draft of my digipak has been uploaded, in the coming days we will be receiving feedback from our peers on the good and bad aspects of the digipak which will help us improve.

Friday evening we filmed the dance sequence and I am really impressed with the results, I feel that it has added another level to my video, over the past few days I have been working on my third draft, incorporating the dance routine into the video, I feel that I now have enough shots and will not need to film more with Jaya, I am hoping with the effects put in place the music video is enough, I plan to make one more draft to show the final touches added to the video, also i hope to get the lip synch on point since it has been lacking in the other drafts i have made. Currently, I am focusing on my blog and making sure that everything is up to date including the website and improving digipak ideas.

I have made a lot of improvements to the website including merchandise and the rearranging of pages to make them look less crammed, this allows the site to look slicker and more appealing to the eye. The music video is now finished and uploaded, aswell as the second draft of the digipak.

We are now in the evaluation stage of our process. I continue to make small changes to the webiste including adding more merchandise, I have also made tour posters.
