One of the first videos I took inspiration from was the 'Up Montage'
The montage is something I would like to achieve, the progression of the relationship between the two characters is what I would use of the narrative, telling a story of a young couple being together through changing times for example puberty and pregnancy.
I also took inspiration from Emeli Sande song 'Heaven' some of the close up shot are the type of shots I would like to achieve in the music video, also the different location shots is something I would also be interesting in doing.
Leona Lewis 'Footprints in the Sand' is another video I took inspiration from, the slow moving shots with the main focus on the narrative of the story rather than the artists itself, I found her video to be similar to something I would like to achieve only for the content to be different. Although there are shots of the artists they are only short smooth snippets, I would like to achieve this but with longer clips of the artists with possible costume changes and scenery changes.
I also took a lot of insperaion from A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera - Say Something, the simplicity of the video and sleek shots are everything I want to achieve in my own music video, the transitiona are done in a way that connects each shot together seamlessly, with the lyrics matching the actions in videos.
I also took inspiration from other students pieces, 'young and Beautiful' was put well together and the narrative of the music video was clear throughout with strong white lighting the shots of the 'Belle' were clear and powerful giving the video a professional feel, however some of the shots where done outside in the dark making the shot itself grainy which makes it look like a home video. All together the video was made well and the varied speed of transition's is something I would like to achieve.
