Interpretation of a Song.

In class today we listen to a song we then had to interpret how we would turn it into a music video, below is a list of everyone ideas.

1)Relationships
- Wedding
-Photos of the couple as singletons
-backward time line leading to divorce

     2)Old peasant

-Searching for gold
-Chased by guards and solders
-All for love

3)Singer walking away from camera along road in Spanish village
-Goes to Beach
-Flashback of relationships
-Girl enters and lays next to singer

4)Slow paced man singing on his own

5)Urban London pavements
-close up on man singing walking slowly whilst everything else moves quickly around him
-Walks past window and sees ex with new lover
-Bangs on window but she cannot hear

       6)Man walking through maze/thorns
-Band sing in live preformance/journey

7)Man walking as body parts slowly fall off until there is just a pile of ash
-Surrounding public do not notice

8)Close up of vocals face, sky as background
-Zoom out and see him and band floating in the sky
-Camera follows him
-Woman floats by, he tries but cannot reach her

9)Black and white image of vocalist, close up, dark background
-Cuts to woman walking down the isle
-As beat kicks in the image turns to colour and all band mates are seen
-Cuts to woman running from woman, leaving man behind her
-Man singing in tattered wedding suit.

10)Shots from different substitutions of people in various stage of relationship
-End with a break up

   11)Man walking through house
-Looking at old photos of the couple
-Starts breaking things.

I have learnt that each person interprets music lyrics and it is the video itself that tell us collectively how we should feel (if the video has narrative to the lyrics)

My favourite idea is number 8, purely on the basis that it is very different and quirky.
